Rare Azure Blue Deco Tom Thumb Catalin radio made in the late 1930s by the Automatic Radio Mfg. Co.  This original marbleized Azure Blue color on this radio is breathtaking and is rare; the radio has taken on a warm  and even green patina. The 900 series of Tom Thumbs is known to collectors as the 'Deco Model' and is considered to be one of the top catalin radios to be found. The Tom Thumb name is a perfect fit for this radio - as it is one of the smallest radios made of catalin. Striking + Rare Bright Chinese red plaskon Fada 354RG 'Coloradio' radio with gold stylized accents from the 1930's. This deco radio is one model in the line of Fada's streamlined 'Coloradios' and was offered in a choice of four color combinations with red being the most sought after. This cabinet's design is a beautiful example of Machine Age styling. The radio's curved and angular front + side details of varying thickness with strong horizontal lines are reminiscent of the Art Deco architecture of the period.
