Emerson BM-258 radio known as the 'Big Miracle' yellow with ivory trim. Made by Emerson Radio + Television in 1938 the Big Miracle is a slightly larger version of the Little Miracle. The cabinet is a beautiful warm yellow highlighted by the ivory trim. The yellow with brown swirl cabinet is not found as often as the standard yellow. The radio is in original, untouched condition, and is just a great example of this Emerson 'Big Miracle' model. The cabinet is in perfect condition with no cracks, chips, tube burns or repairs. This models fragile ivory plastic grill + knobs which, are prone to deterioration, are original + great condition.  Radio retains the color coordinated bottom cardboard panel that is often not present.  Dial plastic and decal are correct replacements. This is the only Catalin radio produced by Allied Radio Corp. and branded "KNIGHT" with an embossed gold foil tag affixed to the front of the cabinet.  The "Knight" branded Catalin radios are rarely found. This example has the rare original pastel colored trim which you do not often see. The contrast in color makes for a great Art Deco radio. This cabinet's design is a beautiful example of Machine Age styling.
