Intensely Swirled Deco 1941 General Electric in Green/Black with Butterscotch trim L-574 Catalin Radio. One of only two Catalin radios ever manufactured by General Electric and made in 1941. The design of this radio while boxy has numerous Art Deco elements such as the louvered grill and semi-circle handle. The catalin has a deep shine + gloss, rich color, glow, exceptionally striking swirls and luminosity. The swirls look like the flames painted on custom Hot Rods. This great radio would make a great addition to any radio or Art Deco collection. This beautiful set is in great condition with no cracks, chips, tube burns or repairs to the cabinet. Exceedingly Rare FADA 53 / 5F50 in heavily marbleized Blue with Yellow grill and knobs. This rarely seen blue cabinet Fada is beautifully marbleized with yellow, clear and green hues. This is only of only a few in extant and is therefore an extremely rare find. This Art Deco model made in 1938 by FADA Radio + Electric Company has a beautiful design and size. This radio retains the factory gloss, the yellow trim adds contrast and style to this stunning example.The cabinet is free of chips, tube burns or repairs; however it does have a small hairline on the front that is barely visible between the dial and grill. Radio has never been polished back to blue and has taken on a beautiful bluish-green patina over the years. The translucent and marbleized yellow insert grill and fluted knobs are original to the radio and have no damage. Clear dial plastic cover and water-slide decal are correct replacements. This example is made of bright blue Plaskon Bakelite with a highly marbleized beetle plastic grill and blue tenite knobs. This cabinet’s design is a beautiful example of Machine Age styling.
