Rarest Color Combo GE L-570 Series - Yellow/Blue
Rare + Beautiful Art Deco 1941 General Electric light yellow with marbleized blue trim L-571 Catalin Radio. This blue trim example is one of only a handful know to exist, it is extremely rare. The blue trim is heavily marbleized, translucent and awesome looking. The light/medium yellow cabinet has faint clear and lighter yellow marbleizing that add depth. This model GE is one of only two Catalin radios ever manufactured by General Electric and made in 1941. The design of this radio while boxy has numerous Art Deco elements such as the louvered grill, semi-circle handle and fluted knobs. This beautiful set is in great condition with no cracks, chips, tube burns or repairs to the cabinet or trim. The marbleized blue catalin trim is original to the radio and is also perfect with no chips, cracks or repairs. The Catalin cabinet has taken on a beautiful and light/medium yellow patina after having been polished back to the original alabaster color about 4 years ago. Radio retains the original bottom paper label and back panel. Dial plastic is a correct replacement. This great radio would make a great addition to any radio or Art Deco collection. Rare Art Deco "Superlectric" Sandwich Maker with Catalin Bakelite Accents - Rare
Incredible Design with Yellow Catalin Accent Pieces
The Superlectric Sandwich Maker is one of the most uncommon Art Deco chrome and yellow Catalin Bakelite trim sandwich makers ever manufactured. Made in the 1930's by Superior Electric Product Corp. in St. Louis, MO. This highly stylized Art Deco designed sandwich maker floating on a tubular chrome frame is absolutely stunning. From its speed lines running across the top intersected by the temperature gauge to it's rounded + tapered edges and bright yellow Bakelite cylinder handles interspersed with chrome discs. This series of small home appliances made by Superlectric is rarely seen. The design is reminiscent of the streamlined locomotives, ocean-liners and automobiles of the 30's. This was definitely a design made for the "kitchens of the future" during this era. Toaster is stamped on the bottom: SUPERLECTRIC MF'D by Superior Elect Prod. Corp., Cape Girardeau, MO. - No 25 Series 3.5 AMP = 110 120 VOLTS AC or DC.

Early + rare 1930's chrome 2-slice with black Catalin trim toaster
American made Type 101 "Commander" electric bread toaster in chrome with black Bakelite / Catalin trim. This toaster was made in the early 1930's by the Mattatuck Mfg Company out of Waterbury CT. and is called a Type 101 "Commander" electric toaster. This seldom seen Art Deco toaster has a size and presence not found in the other toasters of this era. The toaster is in original, untouched and complete condition, with very good-looking original chrome and mica elements. Do not miss the opportunity to own this exceptional toaster, as they do not show up for sale often and especially in this great of a condition. This rare toaster serial #11761 is in wonderful original condition for being as old as it is. I have not cleaned the item in any way. The toaster is complete and the heavy chrome is very bright and shiny. As you can see in the pictures, the case of the toaster is just stunning and in great condition with no dents or dings. All it has are some little surface scratches from regular cleaning and light pitting/surface rust on the chrome - see photos. This in no way detracts from the beauty and rarity of this toaster. Rare Blue Catalin FADA 700 "Cloud" Art Deco Radio
Great Patina on this Blue 1946 FADA 700 Radio
The Catalin model 700 "Cloud" was made starting in 1946 by the FADA Radio & Electric Co. This model was one of three new designs for the postwar period. The original blue catalin, which has taken on a beautiful dark green and yellow swirl patina with age, is the rarest color to find. The shiny blue/green cabinet has yellow swirls running throughout that give it depth. Cabinet has no fading, chips, burn marks, or repairs. Radio has one small hairline coming off of the bottom grill slit on the front that blends well with the marbleization, this little defects in no way deters from the rarity or beauty of this radio. It is uncommon to find a blue 700 in perfect condition. The ivory pearlized plastic handle and knobs are original to the radio and are in perfect condition. This set retains its original reverse painted dial plastic, masonite back and the remnants of a manufactures sticker on the bottom of the case. Beautiful large seldom seen large Art Deco octagon shaped Catalin powder box in pistachio green with white + clear swirls and black accents. This incredible powder box is a rare find and is considered by many collectors to be the epitome of a Catalin box collection. The fluted base sitting on 4 black Catalin cube feet sloping up to faceted sides finished off with a large "cube" finial resting on an octagon black Catalin base on lid. The large size combined with the different design elements used on this box make it unique and rare. Powder box has been polished back to its original factory color and has a beautiful gloss. This seldom seen rose color Champion Electric 'Venus' tube radio is made of acrylic and is in the form of a globe, supported on four twisted transparent acrylic arms and a square base. Made made by the Champion Electric Corporation Ltd, 1947, in Great Britain. Plastics could be manufactured in almost any shape, widening the scope for modernist designers and it was possible to produce a fashionable rose color and an exciting form. The radio when plugged in lites-up from the inside, which makes the radio glow. This interesting feature along with the use of different materials makes for a highly unusual and rare Art Deco radio. This example in rose or light pink is in great original condition with no cracks, chips, burns and is just a stunning original radio. Radio has the original knobs and all the twisted acrylic is also original. Chrome base has some minor pitting consistent with age of the item. Radio measures approximately: 9.5" round by 11.5" high . This deco radio is one model in the line of Fada's streamlined 'Coloradios' and was offered in a choice of four color combinations with red being the most sought after. This cabinet's design is a beautiful example of Machine Age styling. The radio's curved and angular front + side details of varying thickness with strong horizontal lines are reminiscent of the Art Deco architecture of the period. This radio is exceedingly hard to find and is highly sought after by both radio and Art Deco collectors. The shortwave model differs from the Fada 652 Temple in a few ways; chassis has lever on the rear of the to change the bands, glass dial face shows shortwave/broadcast bands and the knobs are the larger 'gumdrop' style. It is not often you see a Fada 659 Temple. This maroon and yellow FADA 659 has no cracks, chips, tube burns or repairs. The butterscotch catalin louvered insert grill, dial surround and fluted knobs are original to this radio and in perfect condition also with no cracks, chips, tube burns or repairs. The graphic reverse painted Shortwave 659 dial glass is original and in great condition. Radio retains the original cardboard back panel. This beautiful FADA has been well taken care of and has very few small scratches consistent with light use. This radio is as clean as one can be found and would truly make a great addition to any radio or Deco collection. Radio measures approximately: 10.85" wide by 6.75" high by 5.75" deep.
