Seldom Seen Art Deco Fada Red Plaskon Radio

Ref: RA340

Rare Fada 362RG 'Coloradio' radio in Chinese red plaskon with gold stylized accents from the 1930's. This deco radio is one model in the line of Fada's streamlined 'Coloradios' and was offered in a choice of four color combinations with red being the most sought after. This cabinet's design is a beautiful example of Machine Age styling. The radio's curved and angular front + side details of varying thickness with strong horizontal lines are reminiscent of the Art Deco architecture of the period. This radio is exceedingly hard to find and is highly sought after by both radio and Art Deco collectors.

Radio is all-original and in fabulous condition with only a few small tight lines and small scratches common to plaskon radios of the time that can barely be seen in the photos. Radio retains the original gold grill cloth and matching molded red plaskon back panel. The three red plaskon knobs are original to this radio, tuning knob has one small chip on the rear lip that can only been seen when looking for it. Has a lightly etched drivers license unto the base of cabinet that can barely be seen The original Art Deco brass trim has been lightly cleaned and is in great condition with some light scratches, oxidation and small dents.

Radio measures approximately: 10.5" wide by 7.25" high by 5.5" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
