Beautiful Chinese red plaskon Fada 362RG 'Coloradio' radio with gold stylized accents from the 1930's. This deco radio is one model in the line of Fada's streamlined 'Coloradios' and was offered in a choice of four color combinations with red being the most sought after. This cabinet's design is a beautiful example of Machine Age styling. The radio's curved and angular front + side details of varying thickness with strong horizontal lines are reminiscent of the Art Deco architecture of the period. This radio is exceedingly hard to find and is highly sought after by both radio and Art Deco collectors. Radio is all-original and in fabulous condition with only a few small tight lines and small scratches common to plaskon radios of the time that can barely be seen in the photos. Superb Example of this Early Rare FADA 5F50 Catalin Radio
Striking + Rare prewar Fada model 53 / 5F50 Catalin radio in bright maroon with swirled yellow insert grille + knobs. This Art Deco model made in 1938 by FADA Radio + Electric Company has a beautiful design and size. This radio retains the factory gloss, the yellow trim adds contrast and style to this stunning example. This Merlot + Yellow color combination is seldom found in the FADA 53 model. Catalin cabinet, insert grille + fluted knobs are original to the radio and are free of cracks, chips, tube burns and repairs. Yellow marbleized grill and knobs have a beautiful translucency that gives them an added depth. Radio retains the original gold manufacturers sticker on the bottom of the cabinet with the handwritten "MA" color designation for maroon/Alabaster next to model # and also the tube layout sticker. Great small Fada model 53 / 5F50 Catalin radio in marbleized yellow with a highly marbleized blue grill insert.
