Rare + Beautiful FADA 188 'All-American' catalin radio with marbleized alabaster cabinet, marbleized lapis-lazuli blue handle + knobs and bright red marbleized wrap-around grill. This extremely rare + beautiful all-original radio is seldom seen. This model was most likely produced by FADA Radio to compete with the Emerson Patriot, another Catalin radio issued in the red-white-blue color combo.

The glossy Catalin cabinet is perfect with no cracks, chips or repairs; however it does have a common mild tube burn Radio's cabinet has been cut/polished back to its original alabaster color from it's oxidized butterscotch coloring. The original bright blue catalin handle(which lifts and is contoured to the shape of the cabinet) + knobs are original and correct to the radio and are also in great condition with no cracks, stress lines, chips, breaks, burns or repairs. The bright red grill is original to the radio and also in perfect condition. Dial plastic is a correct replacement. This beautiful FADA has been well taken care of and has very few small scratches consistent with light use is a stunning example of an original FADA 188 'All-American'. This radio is as clean as one can be found and would truly make a great addition to any radio or Deco collection.

Radio measures approximately: 9" wide by 5.5" high by 4" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
