This is a rare + perfect prewar 1936/37 Fada model 5F60-AU Catalin radio in faintly marbleized yellow with a translucent onyx grille. This is one of the earliest Catalin radio models made and has a simple and distinct cabinet design. This yellow + onyx example is all-original and in great condition with a beautiful glossy finish. Onyx grill has faint brown and yellow marbleizing and a beautiful transparency to it that gives it depth. This model has come to be known to collectors as the " Baby Fada" because of its small size. The AU designation at the end of the model # is the color code for Alabaster + Onyx per FADA catalogs of the era. Catalin Cabinet and trim have no cracks, chips, or repairs.
