Great Early Wrap-Around FADA L-56 Catalin Radio

Seldom seen FADA L-56 catalin radio in marbleized yellow with lapis-lazuli blue wrap-around grill. This Art Deco catalin model made in 1939 by FADA Radio + Electric Company has a beautiful design and size. The blue grill has taken on a rich blueish-green patina with stunning yellow marbleizing that gives it depth and life. The catalin cabinet retains the factory gloss, the blue grill adds contrast to this stunning example. This is a great example of an all-original early FADA.

The glossy faintly marbleized yellow catalin cabinet, handle and knobs are in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, tube burn or repairs. The original blue heavily marbleized grill has no cracks, chips or repairs. The beautiful graphic dial is bright and in great condition. The dial plastic + water-slide decal are correct replacements. Radio has small scratches consistent with age + use of set. This radio is as clean as one can be found and would truly make a great addition to any radio or Deco collection.

Radio measures approximately: 9" wide by 5.5" high by 4" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
