Rare Highly Marbleized Emerson Little Miracle in Brazilian Onyx

Ref: RA151

This marbled green Catalin Art Deco 1938 Emerson AX-235 was named "Little-Miracle" by Emerson Radio + Television and is Emerson's first example of a small Catalin table / desk radio that also features a unique louvered insert grill. The small size of this radio combined with the great color and contrasting trim really makes for a stunning Art Deco radio. The rare highly marbleized "Brazilian Onyx" or green cabinet retains the original factory gloss and the bright green tenite/plastic trim is original to the radio. This a rare and beautiful color combination for this small radio.

The cabinet is in perfect condition with no cracks, chips, tube burns or repairs. This models fragile plastic grill and knobs which are prone to deterioration are original in and beautiful condition showing only a mild warp on the grill. Radio retains the original color co-ordinated green cardboard back in very good condition and the manufacturers paper label on the bottom of case. Water-slide decal is a perfect replacement.

Radio measures approximately: 8.85" wide by 5.25" high by 3.75" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician prior to use.
