FADA "Bullet" Catalin Radio Model 1000 in Maroon + Yellow Streamliner
Perfect Maroon + Yellow Design Icon - FADA 1000
Beautiful and original Art Deco FADA "Bullet" Streamliner Model 1000 in Plum/Maroon and Butterscotch Catalin. This radio styling epitomizes 1940's Streamline design with its sleek rounded lines that suggest speed and practicality, hallmarks of streamlined industrial design from those years. FADA produced many radios and televisions over the years, but its Catalin radios, particularly the "Bullet" are the best-known models.
The Catalin cabinet retains the factory gloss, and the butterscotch trim adds contrast and style to this stunning example of a FADA Bullet Streamliner model. This maroon and yellow FADA 1000 has no cracks, chips, nicks, repairs, tube burns or reproduction parts. The Butterscotch Catalin dial ring, fluted knobs and handle are original to this radio and in perfect condition with no cracks, stress lines, chips, breaks, burns or repairs. The "Gemloid" dial face is bright and in great condition. Radio retains half of the original cardboard back panel. The gold grill cloth is original and has only a small dark spot that is difficult to see in between the grill cutouts. The dial plastic cover is a replacement.
This radio is as clean as one can be found and would truly make a great addition to any radio or Deco collection.
