Exceptional Original Orchid Pink Catalin Lackner Neon Clock

Exceedingly rare Lackner Neon-Glo Art Deco 'Dulcy' in marbled translucent orchid catalin clock made in the 30's and 40's in Cincinnati, Ohio. The orchid color found on this example is so rare not many know of its existence, only two.. The "Dulcy' made by Lackner is the only catalin case clock that lites-up with a neon giving the cabinet + dial a beautiful warm glow, setting it apart from other clocks manufactured in the 1940s. Distinctive Art Deco features of the clock include the abstract numerals, streamlined ribbed metal trim + stepped skyscraper design. This orchid pink Lackner has a beautiful gloss to the case and is highly marbleized with tones of, orchid, white + clear that add depth to the catalin....this is truly a unique piece. 

Cabinet has no cracks, burns or repairs. It has a tiny chip on the rear top center of cabinet that is difficult to discern and a small hairline on the bottom caused by the shrinking of the catalin cabinet around the metal back, which is common for Lackner catalin body clocks. Clock glows a warm pink/orchid when lit that is absolutely stunning.

Clock is in working order, keeps accurate time and has the original movement, pink neon + transformer. Clock retains the original metal trim, Lackner 'Neon Glo' foil tag on back, bottom label with 'Dulcy' model designation and reverse painted clock face
