Seldom Seen Large Blue Glass Mirror Gilbert Rohde Clock

Ref: CL133

Gilbert Rohde Deco blue glass mirror clock model 4083-B manufactured by the Herman Miller Clock Company ca. 1934. This is the large 10.5" version that is seldom seen. THis clock along with other Gilbert Rohde designs were showcased at the 1934 A Century of Progress in Chicago. The blue glass mirror face, polished chrome ball hour markers, linear hands, brushed chromium base + a red second hand heighten the appeal of this rare Deco clock. This is a truly striking design + color for this Art Deco clock.

The condition of this iconic clock is great and it is obvious that this clock has been well taken care of.  Clock is all-original and untouched. Original mirror face has some slight loss to the silvering + base and chromium accents have a small amount pitting consistent with careful use and age. Clock retains the glass, hands + brown felt on the bottom of the base. Clock is fitted with the original self-starting electric movement that is in working condition at this time.  Black cloth covered power cord is original + in good condition

This table clock measures approximately: 10.5" high by 10" wide by 3.5" deep. There is no guarantee of accuracy with it keeping time. If you wish to use it daily, it is recommended you have a qualified professional service it, as it may need lubrication and calibration.
