Rare Fada 188 'All-American' with Blue Cabinet, Red + White - All-Original

Beautiful + Rare FADA 188 'All-American' catalin radio with a marbleized lapis-lazuli blue cabinet, marbleized red handle + knobs with a yellow wrap-around grill. This extremely rare + beautiful all-original radio is seldom seen. This model was most likely produced by FADA Radio to compete with the Emerson Patriot, another Catalin radio issued in the red-white-blue color combo for the War.
This untouched glossy swirled blue radio has taken on a beautiful patina over the years. Catalin cabinet is perfect with no cracks, chips or repairs; does have a mild tube burn as seen. The original bright red catalin handle(which lifts slightly and is contoured to the shape of the cabinet) + knobs are original and correct to the radio and are also in great condition with no cracks, stress lines, chips or repairs. Yellow grill is original to the radio and also in perfect condition. Radio retains the original manufacturers label with model 188 designation affixed to the bottom of cabinet along with the tube layout sticker. Dial plastic is a correct replacement. This beautiful FADA has been well taken care of and has very few small scratches consistent with light use is a stunning example of an original FADA 188 'All-American'. This radio is as clean as one can be found and would truly make a great addition to any radio or Deco collection.
Radio measures approximately: 9" wide by 5.5" high by 4" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
