Beautiful Ingraham Emerson Mini-Tombstone

Ref: RA288

The Emerson AU-213 radio with its impressive design makes it one of the most interesting Ingraham cabinets made. This great design with its and curved cabinet styling and applied vertical grill bars is attributed to designer Alexis de Sakhnoffsky who was responsible for the design of the just as incredible "Mae West". This Art Deco model with its beautiful use of different toned veneer is highlighted by the graceful curved wood formed case. The E. Ingraham Company of Bristol, Connecticut made the cabinet for Emerson.

Radio has the original finish with the water-slide decal still present. The original finish has a lustre to it and a beautiful rich color with wear/imperfections/dings in the wood consistent with age + use. The richness of the all-original veneers used by Ingraham have a remarkable of depth of color that is just stunning. The radio retains the original metal "Ingraham" tag on the bottom and the original cardboard back panel. The jet-black Bakelite knobs and the gold dial are original and in great condition. Radio has the original dial plastic that is in great condition with only a little yellowing.

This small mini-tombstone radio measures approximately: 9." Wide by 11" High by 6" Deep. The chassis of this radio seems complete. This set is sold "as-is + untested" and as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
