Deco Philco PT-36 Radio in Black Plaskon w/ Ivory Trim

Beautiful Black plaskon bakelite with Ivory Trim Art Deco Philco Transitone radio model TP-20 from 1939. Considered to be one of the most Art Deco radios manufactured by Philco along with the Philco / Simplex model UA-52P. This great deco radio is made of jet black plaskon cabinet with a 'wrap around' grill and knobs of Ivory colored tenite plastic. There are a few versions of this style but this one is the sleekest. This is not a model that shows up often especially in this good of condition.

The radio is original, with a beautiful + natural gloss and is just a superb example of this Deco Philco model.  Cabinet is free of any cracks, chips, hairlines or repairs. Ivory tenite trim is original to the radio and also free of any defects or repairs. Radio retains the original paper label on the bottom.  "Philco Transitone" decal on the front of cabinet is a correct replacement. Radio has been well taken care of and only shows some small signs careful use consistent with age.

The radio measures approximately: 5" high by 8" wide by 5" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete.  Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
