Beautiful Original Insert Grille 2-Tone FADA 652 Catalin Radio
Ref: RA1047
Rare + beautiful Insert Grill model FADA 652 'Temple' Catalin radio in a stunning blue + butterscotch with incredible marbleizing. The insert grill models rarely show up and are even harder to find in blue...the best color. The bright blue cabinet has veins of white with tones of blue and clear running through it that makes this an incredible example. The original yellow trim adds contrast and style to this example of a FADA Temple model. The model 652 was part of the 1940-1942 radio lineup.
This rare blue and yellow FADA 652 is in wonderful condition with no chips, repairs or tube burns. Cabinet does have three very small tight hairlines coming off the corners of the insert grill opening, this is a common occurrence on the rarer insert grill models (difficult to photograph and see in person and when displayed). The butterscotch catalin louvered insert grill, dial surround and fgumdrop knobs are original to this radio and in perfect condition and have no cracks, chips or repairs. Reverse painted dial glass is original showing very little signs of age. Radio retains the original cardboard back panel. This beautiful FADA has been well taken care of and has some scratches consistent with light use. This is truly an incredibly rare original radio that would make a great addition to any collection.
