Sonora Radio + Television Corp of Chicago, Illinois started off as a clock maker which somehow led to phonographs and finally to radios. As radio manufacturers they mad numerous style radio in wood, Bakelite and one Catalin model the Coronet KM. The 1941 Coronet KM was available in 3 color combinations: Alabaster/Onyx Green, Alabaster/Plum and Alabaster/Pastel Blue. Today they are all quite difficult to find and are highly regarded by collectors.
Some Coronets were sold to Allied Radio Corp and branded "KNIGHT" with a gold foil logo affixed to the front of the cabinet. These "Knight" branded radios are rarely found.

Catalin Sonora Radio KM "Coronet" in Alabaster + Plum
Great + Perfect Two-Tone Sonora "Coronet" Catalin Radio
Beautiful 1941 Sonora KM "Coronet" Radio in marbleized alabaster Catalin with plum Catalin trim makes for a great Art Deco radio in a wonderful color combination. This is the only Catalin radio produced by Sonora Radio of Chicago, Illinois. The subtly marblized Catalin cabinet has beautiful transparency that gives the radio depth.
This superb Catalin radio has no cracks, chips, repairs, or tube burns to the cabinet trim. Radio cabinet has been cut/polished back to its original alabaster color by Decophobia and has an incredible gloss to it. Radio has original trim, mesh grill cloth + dial plastic.
Radio measures approximately: 9" wide by 5.5" wide by 5.25" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.

Catalin 1941 Sonora KM "Coronet" in butterscotch with pastel blue in a seldom seen color combination for this model Art Deco radio. This radio is one of the 3 factory colors produced in 1941 by Sonora Radio of Chicago, Illinois, the colors were alabaster/pastel blue, alabaster/pastel-green and alabaster/maroon.
This rare Catalin radio has no cracks, chips, repairs, or tube burns to the cabinet or original trim. The radios original pastel blue trim has been hand cut/polished by Decophobia and has an incredible gloss to it. Radio has original trim, mesh grill cloth and back panel.

Knight "Coronet" KM Art Deco Yellow + Olive Green Catalin Radio
Seldom Seen Knight Brand Name
This Catalin 1941 Knight "Coronet" KM in butterscotch with olive green trim Art Deco radio. This is the only Catalin radio produced by Allied Radio Corp. and branded "KNIGHT" with a gold foil logo affixed to the front of the cabinet. The "Knight" branded Catalin radios are rarely found.
This rare Catalin radio has no cracks, chips, hairlines or repairs. The radios olive green trim is original to the radio and has an incredible gloss to it. Cabinet has a mild tube burn on the top left rear which in no way detracts from this rare radio. Radio has the original gold foil brand tag, light green center dial pointer, mesh grill cloth and back panel. Dial plastic is original and has very little hazing or yellowing.
