FADA 115 Insert Grill "Bullet" Catalin Radio Butterscotch + Red - Rare
Perfect All-Original Pre-War Fada 115 Insert Grill Fada Bullet
Rare Pre-War Insert Grill FADA "Bullet" Catalin Streamliner Model 115 in butterscotch with bright red marbleized trim. This one owner radio is super clean, beautiful and has never had the trim removed from cabinet and therefore retains the original glue on insert grill and bezel. This is the only original pre-war 115 insert grill model I have ever owned or seen.
The model 115 differs from its postwar counterpart, in that it has the smooth "gumdrop" knobs, and a split dial face with what looks like a large Roman numeral through the center of it. The all-original bright marbleized red trim adds contrast and style to this stunning example of a seldom found Pre-War FADA 115 Bullet model.
The butterscotch catalin cabinet is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, breaks, or repairs. Radio has small scratches consistent with age + use of set. The Bright Red Catalin insert grill, dial bezel, gum-drop knobs and handle are original + correct to the radio, they are also in great condition with no cracks, chips, breaks or repairs. The fragile paper + gold foil dial face is in great condition showing only small sign of age and use. Radio retains the original cardboard back panel with FA-DA-SCOPE label in great condition. The dial plastic cover is original and has very little yellowing or hazing.
Radio measures approximately: 10.25" wide by 6.25" high by 5.5" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
