Sentinel 284-NB 'Outline Grill' Catalin Radio in all Oxblood Red
Catalin Sentinel 284 'Outline Grill' radio in all marbleized oxblood red. This radio was made circa 1945 by The Sentinel Radio Company of Evanston, Illinois Known. This set would make this radio a truly beautiful addition to any collection.
The radio is just a striking example of this Catalin Sentinel model. The glossy Catalin oxblood red cabinet has beautiful marbleizing that really adds depth to the cabinet + is in excellent condition with no cracks, tube burns or repairs; cabinet has one small chip on the inside rear where the back panel that can not bee seen when displayed. The matching marbleized oxblood catalin grill surround and knobs are original factory parts and in great condition with no cracks, chips, burns or repairs. The grill cloth is a period correct replacement with some signs of age/use. The dial glass is original and has a few small scratches as can be seen in the photos. Radio has been well taken care of and only shows some fine scratches consistent with age. This radio would truly make a great addition to any radio or Deco collection.
Radio measures approximately: 11" wide by 7" high by 6.25" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
