Art Deco Shyvers Multiphone Jukebox Selector - Incredible Skyscraper Design

The 1935 Shyvers Multiphone was invented by Ken Shyvers, who is also credited for inventing the pinball machine. The strong Art Deco architectural lines make for a stunning display item. The Multiphone was a music selection device that operated over telephone lines mostly in Seattle, Tacoma and Olympia, Washington from 1939 to 1959. These units were typically placed on tables, counters or bars. A patron could deposit a coin and speak with a telephone operator standing at a turntable at the Central Music studio, who would then play a selection in the speaker at the bottom of the Multiphone. These units became popular because they had a record range of 170 whereas jukeboxes only had a record range of 20-48. This unit is in great original condition and is complete with the red faceted “jewels”+ red grill cloth. The unit has the original lock and key to access the coin mechanism. Baby Addison A2 in Marbled Navy Blue + White Art Deco Bakelite Radio
Beautifully Marbleized 1940's Art Deco Design
Baby Addison A2 in Marbleized Navy Blue with Creamy White trim Bakelite / Plaskon Tube Radio made circa 1940 by Addison Industries Limited in Canada. The unique styling, bold use of color, and dramatic marbleizing would make this radio a truly beautiful addition to any collection. This stylized Art Deco radio features the famous "waterfall" speaker grill trim and surround "bumpers" with speed-lines that really make for a streamlined radio design. If you are looking for a great addition to your collection, please consider this beauty. This particular example is a stunning radio in excellent original condition with no chips, dings, scratches, or repairs on the cabinet. Highly marbleized cabinet has one small hairline crack hidden under the right white trim piece. This is not noticeable from the exterior of the radio as it is completely covered by the trim. It can only be seen when looking in from the back of the radio. In no way does this detract from the radio. The chassis seems complete and still has its original color coordinated dial scale. The dial plastic is original and in great condition with very little yellowing and clear.
