Great Patina on this Blue 1946 FADA 700 Radio

Ref: RA177

The Catalin model 700 "Cloud" was made starting in 1946 by the FADA Radio & Electric Co. This model was one of three new designs for the postwar period. The original blue catalin, which has taken on a beautiful dark green and yellow swirl patina with age, is the rarest color to find.

The shiny blue/green cabinet has yellow swirls running throughout that give it depth. Cabinet has no fading, chips, burn marks, or repairs. Radio has one small hairline coming off of the bottom grill slit on the front that blends well with the marbleization, this little defects in no way deters from the rarity or beauty of this radio. It is uncommon to find a blue 700 in perfect condition. The ivory pearlized plastic handle and knobs are original to the radio and are in perfect condition. This set retains its original reverse painted dial plastic, masonite back and the remnants of a manufactures sticker on the bottom of the case.

Measures approximately: 10.5" wide x 6.5" high x 5.5" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
