Seldom Seen Emerson Little Miracle Striking Color Combo with Black Grill

Ref: RA153

This marbled oxblood red Catalin Art Deco 1938 Emerson AX-235 was named "Little-Miracle" by Emerson Radio + Television and is Emerson's first example of a small Catalin table / desk radio that also features a unique louvered insert grill. The small size of this radio combined with the great color and contrasting black trim really makes for a stunning Art Deco radio. The marbleized "Tyrolean Red" or oxblood cabinet retains the original factory gloss and the black tenite/plastic trim is original to the radio. This is a rare and striking color combination for this radio.

The cabinet is in perfect condition with no cracks, chips, tube burns or repairs. This models fragile plastic grill and knobs that are prone to deterioration are original in and beautiful condition showing only a mild warp on the grill. Water-slide decal is a replacement.

Radio measures approximately: 8.85" wide by 5.25" high by 3.75" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician prior to use.
