Rare Garod 1450 "Peak-Top" catalin radio in butterscotch with marbleized blue trim. The catalin cabinet has a deep shine that makes its rich color glow and shows off the exceptionally striking marbleized blue Catalin trim. The radio is in original, untouched condition, and is just a stunning example of this Garod model. This model radio is seldom seen in colors other than all butterscotch and in this fine of a condition.
This beautiful set is in great condition with no cracks, chips, tube burns or repairs to the catalin cabinet or trim. The original trim has taken on a beautiful bluish-green patina that is striking. The radio retains its original textured gold grill cloth, which has no tears or stains and has only a small amount of wear. Water-slide decal + dial plastic are correct replacements. This is truly a remarkable radio in excellent condition.
This stately radio measures approximately: 10.5" Wide by 8" High by 5.85" Deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
