Rare FADA SW-57 / L-56 Radio in Marbelized Blue Catalin
Great Early Wrap-Around FADA L-56 Catalin Radio
Rare Blue with Butterscotch FADA SW-57 / L-56 Catalin radio with incredible marbling and patina. This beautiful Pre-War model has a wonderful bluish-green patina. The green(blue) colored cabinet has veins of yellow with tones of blue running through it that makes it stand out. The SW-57 version of the L-56 style is the shortwave model with a switch on the back. The chassis in this model is bigger going all the way to the back edge; this made it that Fada had to add two factory holes on the bottom rear edge to secure the larger chassis.
The beautiful lapis-lazuli cabinet was professionally repaired and displays beautifully. Repair can only be detected when looking at inside of cabinet. The yellow marbleized catalin trim is complete + original to the radio and free of cracks, chips, burns or repairs. The beautiful graphic dial is bright and in great condition. The dial plastic + water-slide decal are correct replacements. This is a seldom found color combination that would truly make a great addition to any radio or Deco collection.
Radio measures approximately: 9" wide by 5.5" high by 4" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
