Rare FADA Model F55 Catalin Radio in Emerald Green + Butterscotch
Stunning early wrap around grill FADA Catalin Radio
Striking FADA F55 / 52 / 120 in Emerald Green with butterscotch wrap-around grille and knobs. This Art Deco model made in 1938 by FADA Radio + Electric Company has a beautiful design and size. The vibrant emerald green cabinet is beautifully marbleized with yellow and darker green veins.
All yellow trim is original to radio and in perfect condition. Catalin cabinet has a Dan Blake repair from bottom right corner of grill opening going across underside of radio and a small repair between the dial and grill. Repairs can only been seen when looking closely for them or by looking on inside of cabinet closely. This in no way deters from the rarity and beauty of this Art Deco radio as they can only been seen upon close inspection. Water-slide decal and dial plastic are correct replacements.
Radio measures approximately: 9" wide by 5.5" high by 4" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
