Fada model 53 / 5F50 Catalin radio in marbleized light yellow with highly marbleized blue insert grill.  Wonderful Art Deco model made in 1938 by FADA Radio + Electric Company has a beautiful design and size. This light yellow and blue example is original and in great condition with a beautiful glossy finish. Blue grill has white marbleizing and a beautiful transparency to it that gives it depth. The glossy light yellow catalin cabinet is highlighted by beautiful clear + lighter yellow marbleizing that really adds depth to the cabinet. This is a striking radio color combination

Catalin cabinet, insert grill and fluted knobs are original to the radio and have no cracks, chips or repairs. Blue grill has been cut/polished back to the original bright lapiz-lazuli blue. Cabinet has a slight tube burn. Clear dial plastic cover and water slide decal are correct replacements. This beautiful FADA has been well taken care of and has very few small scratches consistent with light use. This is a great example of an early FADA.

The radio measures 7.75" wide by 5.75" high by 4.75" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
