Rare and Perfect FADA 1000 Catalin Radio in Translucent Onyx

Ref: RA302

FADA "Bullet" Radio Catalin Streamliner Model 1000 in translucent Onyx and Butterscotch. This radio styling epitomizes 1940's Streamline design with its sleek rounded lines that suggest speed and practicality, hallmarks of streamlined industrial design from those years. FADA produced many radios and televisions over the years, but its Catalin radios, particularly the "Bullet" are the best-known models.

The beautiful onyx catalin cabinet has intense orange + white marbleizing and a beautiful transparency. The dark butterscotch trim adds contrast and style to this stunning example of a FADA Bullet Streamliner model. This onyx and yellow FADA 1000 has no cracks, chips, nicks or repairs. Cabinet has a very mild tube burn on side that in no way detracts from the beauty of this radio. The beautiful Art Deco gold "Gemloid" dial face is bright and has no paint wear. Radio has original trim, gold fabric grill cloth, bottom foil label and partial back panel.

Radio measures approximately: 10.25" Wide by 5.5" Deep by 6.5" High. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician prior to use.
