Arvin Model 532 catalin radio in a beautiful yellow with translucent tortoise trim from 1940. This radio with the dial on the left side with its chunky "tractor wheel" knobs makes for unique design features not found on other catalin radios of the time. This Art Deco radio features a translucent tortoise catalin "waterfall" speaker insert grill + knobs.
The butterscotch catalin cabinet is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or repairs; however it does have a small interior hairline on the back screw hole + on the back panel retaining posts that are not visible from exterior. Cabinet does have a tube burn as can be seen in the photos. The translucent and swirled catalin trim is complete and factory original to the radio. Trim has no cracks, chips, burns or repairs. Radio retains the original manufactures labels still affixed to bottom of cabinet and the back panel. The dial plastic is a correct replacement.
Radio measures approximately 8.5" wide x 6" high x 5" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete. Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
