Art Deco Japanese "Fishbowl" Clock with Swimming Goldfish
All Original Seldom Seen Table Clock with Swimming Goldfish
This "Fishbowl" clock is wonderful example of Japanese Art Deco design made in the early 1930s by the National Clock Co. This whimsical windup clock, which rests under a bluish tinted glass dome, has deco numbers on a revolving ball that indicates hours and minutes. This clock is pictured on page 21 of the book "Pastimes / Telling Time From 1879 to 1969" by Philip Collins. Clock is in wonderful original condition with slight wear to chrome and black paint. Clock is currently working and keeping time. Original bluish globe has one small fissure on the inside lip that can only bee seen when looking closely.
