Great Color + 1940's Addison Waterfall Design

Ref: RA297

Stunning Alabaster White with Bright Red Catalin Addison 2 tube radio made circa 1940 by Addison Industries Limited in Canada. The unique styling and bold use of color would make this radio a truly beautiful addition to any collection. This stylized Art Deco radio features the famous "waterfall" speaker grill trim and surround "bumpers" with speed-lines that really make for a streamlined radio design. It is one of the most striking color combinations for a catalin radio. The white alabaster catalin cabinet is highlighted by faint clear + white marbleizing that adds depth to the cabinet.

The alabaster cabinet is highlighted with its contrasting bright red trim. The radio is just a stunning example of this Catalin Addison model. The glossy Catalin cabinet is in excellent condition with chips, cracks or repairs. The beautiful lightly marbleized cabinet only has an interior stress line visible by transparency on the right edge of the case that in no way detracts from the radio's rarity. The Bright Red Catalin trim is complete and factory original to the radio. It has no chips, burns or repairs. There is one small stress line on the bottom of the waterfall grill piece. The original matching white catalin marbleized knobs are perfect. The dial plastic is original and in great condition with very little yellowing and is clear. Original painted dial face has some wear

Radio measures approximately: 6"high by 10.25" long by 5" deep. This set is sold "as-is + untested", the chassis seems complete.  Set is being sold as a "non-working" vintage electronic device that should be gone over by a qualified technician.
